7-Day Refund upon Return Policy

Our Refund Policy is only valid for products that become defective, and have been reported to be defective within 7 days of receipt of the item.

The following will not be regarded as defective:

  • The product is not suitable for your intended purpose, with the Product Description having been accurately displayed on the website.
  • Any alterations, upgrades or unauthorised work that has been performed on the product.
  • Any damage resulting from electrical surges.
  • Any damage caused by user negligence.

The return of Select Pre-Owned items will not be allowed based on the cosmetic condition.

All items are advertised as pre-owned and the cosmetic condition is clearly indicated within the product description field. Our Certified Pre-Owned items may show signs of previous use, including scratches, dents, tiny spots and discoloration on the display and other imperfections associated with normal wear and tear of pre-owned personal electronics.

All items need to be retuned with the original, undamaged packaging with proof of purchase and in the same overall condition as at the time of purchase.

Should you wish to return your device within the 7- day return period, please notify us at accounts@expressmac.co.za. We will require your order number and reason for the return in your email correspondence. Kindly note that courier charges incurred for the return of your item will be at your own cost. Once we have received the device and have completed a full inspection, a refund will be processed. eXpressMac reserves the right to charge a fair handling fee, at our sole discretion.

 

Cancellation of sale prior to taking delivery following online payment

Please note that should you request a reversal / cancellation of a sale, before taking delivery, for any reason other than eXpressMac being unable to fulfill the order at the time of payment, a cancellation fee equal to the PayFast merchant charges will apply.

 

6-Month Repair or Replace Warranty

Your purchase is covered by our 6-Month Repair or Replace Warranty.

The standard warranty covers: hardware failure, malfunction or manufacturer defects. The warranty does not cover cosmetic imperfections.

In the case of any defect developing due to hardware failure during the covered period, eXpressMac reserves the right to repair such product or, as alternative if a repair is not possible or feasible, offer a replacement unit of the same or similar specification and of equal value.

eXpressMac does not offer an on-site repair service. The warranty is a “carry in” warranty, and all courier and delivery costs associated with warranty repairs will be for the customer’s account.

Specific Exclusions:

  • Any device that has been tampered with or opened.
  • Any device that has been compromised in any way.
  • Any Warranty repair due to the use of unlicensed software, computer viruses or similar destructive media loaded on the device.
  • Any repair that involves data recovery and software recovery.
  • General wear and tear.
  • Any damage or loss that can be considered a possible insurance claim. This will include, but not be limited to theft, water damage, malicious damage, impact damage such as damage resulting from dropping the device and broken or damaged LCD screens.
  • Damage caused by power surges.
  • Battery performance or battery life greater than 50% of the original Manufacturer Spec (due to the nature of the product, being a pre-owned item).

 

Accessory Sales

Accessories are covered by the original supplier warranty and may be subject to the successful processing of claim before an exchange or refund can be processed. Warranty periods may vary. Please note that the warranty does not cover malicious damage, impact and water damage or misuse.

Lost, stolen or damaged parcels

Kindly note that we insure all items that are being delivered via courier. In the unfortunate event of a parcel being lost, stolen or damaged, kindly contact us immediately on accounts@expressmac.co.za in order to investigate. Should it be found that the item has in fact been lost, stolen or damaged during delivery by the courier, a refund or replacement may be processed, once the claim from our courier service provider has been settled to in full.
